Summary/Abstract: Wierszyna is a Polish village in Siberia, located about 180 km north of Irkuck. The inhabitants of Wierszyna use two linguistic codes: Polish and Russian. The influence of Russian on the Polish dialect of the inhabitants of Wierszyna is visible particularly at lexical level (Russian borrowings and calques). Morphological calques in the Polish dialect of the inhabitants of Wierszyna are derivates formed under the influence of Russian and they follow the pattern of Russian word formation.
