Summary/Abstract: O. In the history of the relationships of the Albanian language with other languages, its connections with the Latin-Roman world in general, and, especially, with the Italian one1 stand out among the earliest. These are more lasting and have continued uninterruptedly until nowadays. But, while the investigations and studies on the Latin elements of the Albanian - which have started since the work of J.G.Hahn "Albanesische Studien" (Wien, 1854) and have also continued in the last two-three decades2 - have known considerable achievements, the researches and studies on its Italian elements are, unfortunately, scarce.
