Social and economic activity of associations and foundations – selected problems based on research

Summary/Abstract: In 2010, “Study of the potential entities of the social economy” was conducted as part of the project implementation of Centre for Initiatives Support of the Social Economy. The results presented in the paper concern only parts of obtained replies received from respondents. Determining development opportunities of entities acting in social economy was the aim of the research, and obtained results were supposed to answer the questions associated with the area and nature of the actions stipulated in the articles of associations run by organizations and chances and threats of social economy development. Questionnaire forms were chosen which were answered by associations and foundations 229 associations and 26 foundations took part in the research. In the analysed area associations and foundations are the most numerous group of the public benefit organizations.
