Summary/Abstract: The article outlines a concept of human being as a particular (i.e. sonorous) space of question(ing). It is inspired by a primacy of question in Hans-Georg Gadamer’s philosophical hermeneutics and an issue of listening in Jean-Luc Nancy’s essay Listening. In this context, the query of transcendence has been considered. The main conclusion is that transcendence (as transcending), dialectics and listening are linked together in such a way that it is possible to consider a relation between human and transcendence in a perspective different from horizontal or vertical references. In the light of hermeneutic dialectics one can notice something like relational and opening up transcendence (transcending), while in Nancy’s perspective it is possible to describe transcendence as a movement of resonance. Both concepts are dialectically connected through a phenomenon/akoumenon of listening. In the paper the formation tuning up of a question is considered as an experience par excellence of the other. The experience of listening introduces explicitly the issue of a methexis of sensory dimensions in experience. It seems to be the way in which another perspective of the experience of transcendence and dialectics appears. Moreover, the ontological tonality is the very dimension of understanding a new above-mentioned issues. Finally, the perspective leads to outline some problems of a new understanding of education considered As (self)formative listening.
