Summary/Abstract: Following the research conducted in the PhD thesis, the article is studying a „Hamlet” performance played by Wooster Group of Elisabeth LeCompte in „Bulandra Theater” and some vocal problems discovered in it. Vocal techniques can and must help the actor and the performance, without interfering with the director’s ideas. Performing arts go hand in hand with today’s technologies and we must take care of this contemporary aspect. First, we have to properly use the microphone – to know the different types of microphones, involving different types of voice attack. In speaking, special consonants, like P and B, have to be pronounced in a special manner in front of a microphone. Screaming needs a special attention as well. Different acting techniques are discussed here, but the credibility still remains the most important criterion.
