Summary/Abstract: The studies of social reality confirm the extension of the moratorium. Already 30, and even 40-year-olds postpone adulthood, still residing in the family home, not undertaking work or abandoning it because of the unsatisfactory earnings. Among the factors favoring such choices given are both psycho-emotional immaturity of young people, as well as economic conditions that hinder start in adulthood. In this article I present Jeffrey J. Arnett ’s concept of “emerging adulthood” moving age of early adulthood and enabling young people to adapt to the tasks ahead.
