Summary/Abstract: One of the main aims of teaching the Islamic religious studies is pointing out the need to organise ones’ life on the bases of faith and morality. Muhammed’s sws mission was multidimensional. One of the aspects of his mission was to morally direct his followers, those to whom the Messenger of Islam p.b.u.h. was sent, according to the words of Revelation, as a model for moral identification, amongst other things. Besides his role of moral example, Muhammed sws, was a role model to the believers in all aspects of life. Students of Islamic religious studies in high schools are on the verge of transition from childhood to adulthood, where one of the essential dilemmas is to find creditable model to look up to and whose lifestyle they will impersonate. For all the above reasons, the information about Muhammed sws given through the teaching plan and program is contextualised through all the levels ie., grades of high school education. The present article offers a research wherein the context and the manner in which Muhammed sws is mentiond in these textbooks is obsreved.
