Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the educational influence of the creation of J. Žymantiene-Žemaite in the context of the present continuous learning. By looking over the more important documents from the aforesaid aspect, linking them with the archives material and the pedagogical thought of the writer mentioned above and her contemporaries, new arguments about pedagogical cooperation are revealed. This is testified by reflections of the prominent “daractor’s” practical activity in her belles-lettres which had educational influence that is important nowadays, too, for training teachers for the Lithuanian school. After Lithuanian education system’s integration into the common space of European education it is topical for every member of the society (irrespective of the age and social status) to set the position of learning all life for oneself; “Memorandum of All Life Learning” is a basic normative document emphasizing the change of the society and education system and stating that Europe has already entered the Age of Knowledge; the main feature of the Knowledge society is constant change, i.e. the position of every person to learn continuously, to renew the knowledge acquired during formal, non-formal and informal studies. Žemaitė is a member and organizer of continuous learning having realized in full the principle of communication and cooperation among all education participants by her practical activity; her creation may be treated as the sources of the Lithuanian nation’s all-life learning; her lyrical heroes are a model of reality demonstrating how each member of the society should strive for setting the position of continuous learning for oneself, constantly renew the knowledge already acquired, improve skills and abilities, preserve the national identity, foster the values common to all mankind; today the personality of Žemaitė is a model to be followed by all-level employees of the education system, an example how to involve all children and adults in the process of continuous learning.
