TUDOR ARGHEZI, CREATOR OF THE ROMANIAN TABLET

Summary/Abstract: The article acknowledges the merit of the great writer for having imposed, within the Romanian territory, the tablet as a literary species, whose characteristics he brilliantly exemplified. The value and novelty of these texts determined the assumption of the tablet by other authors, such as G. Calinescu and Geo Bogza, who perpetuated the tradition of the tablet. The theoretical commentary is ensued by the analysis of three tablets written by Arghezi, which illustrate the main attributes of the species, beyond their thematic diversity and the assumption of a constantly changeable attitude towards the subjects.
