Summary/Abstract: Family businesses are a special type of organization in which family and business systems interfuse. Taking into account the numerous implications arising from the interaction of these two areas in one, the most important effects are the strategic choices made by the owners of these companies. From the cognitive point of view, it is worth analyzing the double loop of learning Balanced Scorecard, which corresponds to both the organizational processes within the company and the relationships in the family system. The awareness of the existence of this dependence can improve the quality of strategic management of the family business.
