Some Issues relating to Distrainment upon Receivables in the Bulgarian Civil Procedure

Summary/Abstract: CIVIL PROCEDURE // The article considers some practical issues which arise whenever receivables are garnished by a bailiff according to the Bulgarian Civil Procedure Code. The author makes the conclusion that there exists an actual legal vacuum around important aspects concerning debtors’ garnished receivables and suggests two possible legal interpretations of the discussed issues. He also opines that lack of judgment on these disputable topics aggravates the problem and offers two possible solutions to the debatable issues.
