Summary/Abstract: This article is the first major research focused on the generous endowment and social activities of protosingel Cyril Nektariev (1795.1870) to improve the education, the healthcare and the church deeds during the Bulgarian Renaissance. The author also introduces a vast and considerable set of documentary sources without omitting to denote the publications, which also give accessory information relevant to the topic. Grounding on the precise presentation of facts and the thorough analysis she not only recreates the specific research issue, but also the spirit of the epoch.
