The outlook of Romanian-Canadian diplomatic relations through international organizations

Summary/Abstract: Abstract This article aims to show the outstanding role played by the international organizations in the early years of the Romanian-Canadian relations, especially in the diplomatic field but also in the economic and cultural ones. The two countries, placed after The Second World War in different ideological areas were in many occasions aware that they had many common interests on international policy. But to reach this level of proficiency Romania and Canada needed a number of tools that could be supported by the two superpowers. Therefore the international organizations became these tools and among them have distinguished the United Nations with its series of committees, bodies and programs, and the Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe. Résumé Cet article vise à montrer le rôle éminent joué par les organisations internationales dans les premières années des relations canado - roumaine, en particulier dans le domaine diplomatique, mais aussi dans les domaines économiques et culturels. Les deux pays, après la Deuxième Guerre Mondiale sont situés dans les deux différentes sphères idéologiques mais ont étais conscientes dans plusieurs occasions qu'ils ont des intérêts communs sur la politique internationale. Mais pour atteindre ce niveau de maîtrise la Roumanie et le Canada ont en besoin d'un certain nombre d'instruments qui pourraient être soutenus par les deux superpuissances. Par conséquent, les organisations internationales sont devenues ces instruments-la et parmi eux se sont distingués l'Organisation des Nations Unies et sa série de comités, organismes et programmes, et la Conférence sur la Sécurité et la Coopération en Europe.
