Recent developments of the exploration and the research of the medieval university in Pécs

Summary/Abstract: Pécs University was founded in 1367 by pope Urban V., for the request of King Lajos the Great, and the suggestion of William, bishop of Pécs. The institution had been working as a university only for a short time, till the end of the 14th century: the study attempts to reconstruct the appearance and the environment of the university on the basis of built relics and archaeological findings.
