Summary/Abstract: The text provides an overview of the literary scandal in the age of totalitarianism, when literature is an important factor for maintaining a class party positions. The indicated important literary scandals demonstrate the dependence of the conceptual aesthetic criteria of political principles. it highlights the relationship between the participants in the literary scene in the new millennium, which are determined by the new situation, dominated by hyper-reality and cyber politics, from aggressive domination of the media culture which operate the sensational stories from the dynamic changing world. Understated social prestige of literature and the marginalization of literary criticism leads to reduced functionality of the literary scandal that has been replaced by numerous economic, political and sex scandals. in conclusion, it insist for a thorough and adequate analysis of the diversity of artistic phenomena in highly dynamical social environment that can ease the literary scandal from his present silence and provoked media interest in literary knowledge.
