Summary/Abstract: The objective of the study was to recognize and evaluate the structural changes in the pigmeat market in Poland after the integration with the EU. In the analysis the study of the literature and statistics data were used. The studies suggest that the pigmeat market in Poland is characterized by excessive fragmentation and the small scale of production, slaughter and processing. The major concern in the meat industry is the lack of linkages between pork producers and meat industry. In order to meet international competition, the development of cooperation between the suppliers of pigs in the form of horizontal integration, i.e. the producer groups and vertical integration in the form of linkages between producers and pork processors is indicated. At the same time in the meat industry, the greater consolidation and the development of specialization is indicated.
