Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the situation and with one of the problems in the Ukrainian minority educational system in Slovakia in the 50th the 20th century. It focuses mainly on the issue of language in Ukrainian national schools in northeasters Slovakia after the implementation of administrative reform in 1952. Special attention is given to the reason of reducing number of Ukrainian schools.
