Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes correlation between the mimic sign “look out from under the brow” and phraseologism patrzeć spode łba which appeared on its basis. Modern methods of corpus investigation of a language are used, what gave a possibility to reveal the newest aspects of functioning the analized phraseologism, in particular phraseological innovations on its basis.
