Summary/Abstract: The article describes the history of the origin and development of studying the Polish language as foreign at the Faculty of International Economic Relations in Lviv Academy of Commerce, main tendencies of cooperation of the Academy with educational establishments in Poland. Results of investigating the students’motivation for studying the Polish language are presented, main problems arising in the course of studying are determined.
