Summary/Abstract: The global changes in the contemporary society, as well as the changes in the social and economic situation in the country, caused the development of new factors and conditions, forming the migratory behavior of the population. The factors, determining the migration in the present article, are considered in several groups depending on their nature (political, economic, demographic, ethnic, etc.); factors originating from the changes in the contemporary world (globalization, enlargement of EU, opening of markets and economies and the free movement of production factors originating from that – labor and capital, difference in technologic levels and specialization of countries, etc); depending on the scope of their action are differentiated into micro-, macro- and regional level; depending on the direction of their influence (push and pull): factors, determined by the personal motivation of everyone (subjective), or imposed from the outside (objective factors and reasons); factors depending on the effects they bring (positive and negative) for the accepting and sending parties, for the migrants themselves or for their families in the mother land. The system of factors, determining the migration and their concrete manifestation are at the basis each individual to react in his own way and to take his decision for the future realization – to choose the country in which he wishes to live and work temporarily or permanently. Labor employment and higher remuneration, better labor conditions and professional realization – these are the most important aims every emigrant strives for.
