Summary/Abstract: The Role of the Liturgical Books in Transylvanian Culture in the 18th Century. The liturgical books from Transylvanian area in the 18th century reveal an agitated history of the Romanians, by one side, and by other, emphasize the crucial role in making of the literary Romanian language. The liturgical books printed by the Romanian scholars: Filip Moldoveanu, Coresi, Varlaam, Dosoftei, Simion Ştefan, Greceanu brothers, Antim Ivireanu have made the beginning of the spreading of the Romanian language in the liturgical services. However, in the 18th century, the penetration of the Romanian language process in the orthodox service and the making and preserving of the musical, ecclesiastical and liturgical language had been realized.
