Summary/Abstract: Rediscovering the thinking of Yves M.-J. Congar about the “Others” (i.e. non-Catholics) is important today precisely in the context of the new evangelization. At all costs Congar wants to avoid a kind of individualistic anthropology and soteriology. On one side, to discover the values of the others is a part of being Catholics; on the other side, there is a need of a deeper understanding of ourselves, as we are the first „non-Catholics”. Congar suggest that the right way is to have a dynamic perspective about the catholicity of the Church and his mission.
