Summary/Abstract: The informal communication dynamics is analyzed in the context of social organizations. It is speculated that according to their particularities social organizations impose standards of conduct, limiting the natural human needs for informal communication. Nevertheless, the informal communication emerges and develops in every social organization. Attention is paid also to the conflicting tendencies between the formal and informal organizational relations as well as to the positive and negative functions of the informal communication in their relation to the organization's aims and goals. It is emphasized that the organization's efficient activities cannot be carried out without predicting the effects of informal communication dynamics. On this basis a number of suggestions for special research work in this direction are made. It is supposed that considerable part of the interpersonal conflicts in organizations might be reduced, provided that in the behavior in organizations theory more attention is paid to the spontaneously generated informal relationships.
