Summary/Abstract: Flexicurity policy is a response to the challenges set by today’s labour markets. Its main component is employees’ social security in two dimensions − job security and employment security. Among the researchers there is a discussion whether to remain only with employment security proceeded by a shift away from job security. It is, therefore, necessary to examine the presence of job protection in both dimensions. The Polish labour market may indicate the legal solutions responding to both job security and employment security. Analyzing the situation on the Polish labour market, as well as the overall socio- economic situation, it seems that the abandonment of job security in Poland would be a premature decision. Both components: job security and employment security should be complementary to each other so that workers could have a sense of security on the labour market.
