Summary/Abstract: In this study the author wants to demonstrate how in accompanying notes in Croatian medieval Glagolitic Codexes (Glosses, Colophones) properties of narrative prose can sometimes be detected - i. e. properties of the narrative prose procedure. Such are the cases when the author (co-author) is not satisfied with the conventional information about himself and his work and he enriches and supplements this information by the description of an event or a se quence of events which serve as an illustration of his procedure. In such cases we are presented with a brief prose sketch in which, by means of literary narration, we obtain an impression of the complete event, where space is described and characters delineated. The Glagolitic author has manifested himself as individuality, he showed the quality of his individual commitment, and the note has obtained the character and quality of a creative literary act.
