Summary/Abstract: The motif of brother, which is so essential in the biography and personal history of the classical Estonian poetess Debora Vaarandi (b. 1916) as well as in her concept of man and in her poetry in general, is followed, drawing mainly on her existential autobigraphy Aastad ja päevad. Nooruselugu ("Years and Days. Youth", 2006).
