Summary/Abstract: The writer Dumitru Ţepenag, through his vast activity as a prosaist, essayist, publicist and translator, radically renewed the face of contemporary Romanian literature. As a leader of the oneiric group, he was a visionary all throughout his life, but also a remarkable translator, which, in the years of totalitarianism, familiarized Romanian readers to all the novelties in Western prose and literary critique.
