Summary/Abstract: Poultry creates logistical supply chain of products manufactured from raw materials derived from poultry understood as a network of interdependent organizations, managing, controlling and improving flow of products and information. It has two segments: meat segment and egg segment. The study analyses functioning of the meat segment. Poultry meat production is steadily growing in all their parts, and its best progress is made in the resource base. Its consumption increases with the nutritional properties of poultry meat , and Poland is becoming a bigger and bigger exporter of poultry products in the European Union. Approximately two thirds of Polish export is directed to the EU states. Self-sufficiency of Poland in poultry products is increasing.
