Lexical changes in the language of the inhabitants of villages in Wielkopolska determined by non -linguistic reasons

Summary/Abstract: The article presents changes in naming of fl ails and their parts determined by non-linguistic reasons such as development of agricultural technology. The materials collected by A. Tomaszewski from the 30ties, the studies of the experts working on Atlas języka i kultury ludowej Wielkopolski (70ties) and contemporary research unabled to show the dynamics and the degree of lexical changes. As the informers were divided into age groups the mechanisms of the changes may be observed.
