Summary/Abstract: In this article I lay down the conviction that one can never say „everything is known” about a classic author or cultural movement which, by his magnitude, sometimes founding intellectual or learning/school currents, becomes „canonized” in the pantheon of an „mythical” culture. And, subsequently, one could actually express this „something new” without resorting to the easy and rather problematic method of „deconstruction”, by recourse to the scientific realism of the methods of social history. German historian Peter Schöttler’s research is an argument to this effect.
