Summary/Abstract: The article’s intention is to draw a critical analysis on the theatrical systems developed at the German institution of Bauhaus during 1919 – 1933, focusing on the main issue of reshaping the stage and, if possible, the whole theatre architecture both in concept and transposition. It is an analysis of the idea to create the formal total theatre by eliminating (or not) the human factor – leading to the mechanical performance and the concept of the redesigning the place of performance within its intimate geometrical structures, a process that will lead eventually to a totally new structure and perception of the future theater performance.
