Summary/Abstract: Straipsnyje pateikiama prieš septynerius metus Italijoje priimto Dirbtinio apvaisinimo įstatymo Nr. 40/2004 dabartinės struktūros ir bandymų ją keisti analizė, etinės hermeneutikos kontekste atsiskleidžiantys šio įstatymo privalumai bei ribotumai. Išryškėjusios esminės, su įstatymo reglamentuojamomis dirbtinio apvaisinimo praktikomis susijusios, etinės problemos dar kartą peržvelgiamos katalikų moralės teologijos požiūriu. Įvedus moraliniam vertinimui reikšmingas perskyras, siekiama aptarti esminius, autentiškam žmogaus pradėjimui prieštaraujančius elementus ir pasiūlyti alternatyvių sprendimų paieškos kryptis. This article presents the analysis of the Medically Assisted Procreation Law No. 40/2004 enacted seven years ago in Italy, describes its current structure and attempts to modify it, and reveals advantages and limitations of this law in the light of ethical hermeneutics. The identified fundamental ethical problems related to legally regulated practices of medically assisted procreation are reconsidered from the perspective of Catholic morality. The introduction of significant distinctions for moral assessment allows the analysis of essential elements that contradict authentic human conception and gives ground to propose the directions of search for alternative solutions.
