The Foundation and Material Situation of Puńsk Church in the 17th Century

Summary/Abstract: Straipsnyje nagrinėjamos XVI–XVII a. sandūros Vilniaus vyskupijos Punsko bažnyčios fundacinės privilegijos ir užrašymai, atskleidžiamas jų turinys, remiantis XVII a. Punsko bažnyčios vizitacijų ir inventorių medžiaga, aptariama parapijos turtinė padėtis. Nusakytos parapijos aprūpinimo formos, bažnyčios materialinė įranga, klebonija ir ūkis. Atliktas tyrimas leido suprasti, kokia buvo tipiškos Vilniaus vyskupijos parapijos materialinė padėtis XVII a. The article analizes foundation privileges and grants for Puńsk Church of Vilnius diocese in the junction of 16th– 17th centuries, reveals the content of the documents, also material situation of the parish is discussed referring to the documentation of visitations and inventorisations of Puńsk Church in the 17th century. Forms of providing for the parish, presbytery and economy are outlined. The research allowed understanding the material situation of typical parish in Vilnius diocese in the 17th century.
