Summary/Abstract: The present article reviews problems of the interlanguage equivalence of the verbs of the type reflexive tantum with a reflexive component si/cи (Vrt + si) in the Slovak and the Bulgarian languages. The verbal lexemes are presented within the frames of lexico-semantic groups to which they belong, and are viewed the relations of semantic symmetry and asymmetry of lexemes with common root and relatively preserved formally (external) similarity. During the second stage of the study the verbs are viewed in their function as predicates, presented are their semantic and syntactic valencies and is compared their intentional and valency potential. Marked are also some stylistic problems of their translation, related to the adding of CH to the verbal lexeme in Bulgarian.
