ON THE SUBJECT OF VOICE RELATIONS IN OLD GERMAN AND OLD SLAVONIC

Summary/Abstract: The present article deals with the established need for the common Indo-European language to express inactivity. To this purpose, the language develops medial constructions, traces of which are still preserved in the modern German and Bulgarian languages – a fact, which to this day provokes new disputes about its existence in the two languages in their modern level of development.
