Summary/Abstract: Our paper is a foray in the Romanian folklore manifested in Hungary, namely in popular prose categories: fairy tale, legend, short story, anecdote; categories that are specific to Hungarian prose, too. Folk bilingualism is present in the pluri-ethnical communities that demonstrate an unstable or transitory bilingualism, a temporal situation in the qualitative process of the dynamics of language. We realized that an important role in the protection of Romanians’ linguistic and cultural code is played by the gathering, analysis and force of those traditional folk products that had made up the Romanian cultural system for many centuries.
