Summary/Abstract: Off-shoring is connected with the ongoing worldwide process of globalisation and it is a form of economic cooperation at the same time.The aim of this paper is to analyse the phenomenon of off-shoring in Poland compared to Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia in 2004–2009. The concept of off-shoring, the chosen factors which determine the decisions of firms’ location, and the developing of relocation mainly in Poland as well as in selected European Union members, are presented in this article.
