Journalists and their education in France: current situation and progress

Summary/Abstract: Current system of journalistic education in France with its three formal opositions (acknowledged/unackowledged, private/public, paid/free of charge) is developing fast. Universities have shown abilitity to adapt since they introduced innovatory forms of education and private colleges coped with economic diffculties and improved professional education. Universities are very often criticized for their education being too theoretic and at the same time private colleges are considered to be too technically oriented. However, both these systems interact and try to synchronize its triumphs.
