Summary/Abstract: Among Mircea Eliade’s religious, philosophical or memorialistic writings the novel Nuntã în cer cannot be considered as “genus humile dicendi” because it has an intrinsic value. This paper intends to point out the new meaning given by the remarkable novelist to the eternal myth of searching the other. Even if the critics outlined the impact of the heroine in the life of Hasnas and Mavrodin, it is interesting to discover their influence upon her destiny. She could be seen as the centre of their existence and not as a limit.
