Summary/Abstract: We can follow the modernistic paradigm and deviation from the traditional realistic pattern in the Bosniak novel starting with Hamza Humo’s Grozdanin kikot to Meša Selimović’s, Sijarić’s and other modern novels in which we can notice several elements of text lyrisation, but with a preservation of the basic narrative rules of the novel. The lyric characteristics are here present on three levels: emotional, figurative and cognitive, so the domination of the lyric over the narrative is the strongest and most obvious in the novel Grozdanin kikot, while in all the novels that appear later we find an authentic narrative pattern with a clear intention of poetisation of the discourse. Although different elements of poetisation of the narrative text are used in different novels, poetization is mainly acchieved by the means of emotional and cognitive function, repetition and paralelisms, rythmicality, progress from the traditional narration in the field of focalization, topical models and characters, unconventional temporality, presenting the inner spiritual state and by using interior monologues and other forms of narration which are characteristic for modern prose. (Ćulavkova 2001). One of the very important procedures which brings closer the prose statement to the poetical one is the usage of narration in first person. in the novels Derviš i smrt, Ponornica, Konak i Imotski kadija the narration is subjectivized and reduced on one consciousness, an event shown through an experience, which resulted in a lyrisized statement full of strong expressive power.
