Summary/Abstract: Aspects of the separation of the judiciary from the trusteeship of the sacred in roman law Among the various law systems known along history, the only one able to develop a well-defined legal terminology, distinct in relation to the average, common language, was the Roman law system. Even whether within the ancient legal system of the Quirites the laws would take a religious garb from both the point of view of their linguistic expression and from the point of view of their content, it was for the first time in history that the Romans created a unity of concepts, able to translate in a legal language society’s fundamental interests. It was a fact also due to the natural evolution from the archaic fas to the comprehensive ius.
