The Subject of the Capture of Kazan in the Structure of the National Myth of Russia (Based on Russian Literature of the Late 18th – Early 19th Centuri

Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with the specificity of construction of the subject of the capture of Kazan in Russian literature at the turn of the 19th century in the context of the Orientalist discourse. The inclusion of this subject in the imperial myth makes it possible to emphasize the image of the internal Other, built by overcoming the classical friend/stranger opposition, as a semantic dominant.
