Summary/Abstract: The article presents the results of an empirical study concerning media use in Germany. The author determined six different media use typologies such as: The two criteria were work orientation in the use of media and the importance of media services in everyday life. Bourdieu’s theory on social, cultural, economic and symbolic capital is used as a theoretical background together with some classical framework on the analysis of media use.
