Summary/Abstract: Librăria Humanitas „Constantin Noica” Sibiu was the first private bookstore in Romania. The bookstore has a 23 year long history and it is one of the most important cultural centres in Sibiu. The bookstore was created to promote the concept of the book and, more important, to „recover” the national history, mainly the inter-war history, political views and the works of the most important figures of that period like Mircea Eliade, Constantin Noica, Emil Cioran or Eugen Ionescu. The Humanitas „Constantin Noica” bookstore has a very efficient promotion mechanism that uses various methods and techniques such as written sources of information, outdoor promotion, online promotion, promotional sales and event marketing.
