Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to lives and activities of the mining engineers who graduated from the Mining University of Russia in Saint-Petersburg and have been the deputy members of the State Duma of Russia since 1906 till 1917: H.P. Kondratowicz (1846–1923), W.W. Zukowski (1860–1918), M.M. Lempicki (1856–1930). The first of them used to be a deputy member of the first State Duma but was also distinguished as an outstanding professional in the field of mining engineering, having worked in the mines for more than 25 years. Kondratowicz had authority with the miners as well. The scholarship under his name was established in 1902 at Warsaw Technological University and later on he took the doctorate degree in Krakow Mining Academy. The deputy member of the second and the third State Duma Zukowski – on the contrary – having succeeded in trade and commerce, was generally engaged in politics and charity. The deputy member of the fourth State Duma – Lempicki after more than 20 years of active work in Polish mining industry took part in the political life of independent Poland.
