Summary/Abstract: The author of the article, while interpreting Urszula Kozioł’s poem W samo lato [At the Very Summer], emphasises the thought about time and the ways of depicting a moment in the poetry. The analysis reveals specific artistic constructions that are concentrated on retention being a mechanism that captures a moment that appears like ‘a comet tail’, that is a trace of the past, but it still lasts. The article discusses also the poetic methods of ‘expanding the time’, inscribing it in the eternal present of the culture, in the dialog with the Bible, vegetative symbols and timeless literary topos.
