Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the writer’s activity as a journalist who used to work for several newspapers.Slavici was interested in political, social and pedagogical events, he himself being a complete teacher. One can read about this side of his activity in some publications such as: “Convorbiri literare”- “Literary discus sions”, “Tribuna poporului”- “People’s tribune”, from Arad, or “Tribuna”-“The tribune”, which was founded in 1884 under the writer’s authority. An intense journalistic activity was performed by Slavici at “Timpul”-“The times”, together with his friends Mihai Eminescu and I.L.Caragiale. Many studies signed by Slavici in several magazines and newspapers keep their interest nowadays as well, being thougt and written by one of the most important prose writers of the classical Romanian literature.
