SCRIITORI STRĂINI ÎN PRESA ARĂDEANĂ
FOREIGN WRITERS IN THE PRESS OF ARAD

Summary/Abstract: The paper presents first some significant moments from Press history in our country especially in Arad. The concerns of the publications of Arad over the time for the promotion of the Romanian and foreign literature regarding cultural issues are mentioned. Translations into Romanian from foreign writers are also mentioned, starting with Latin, Italian, French and English ones. These are analyzed, highlighting their esthetic value and the way in which they influenced their readers’ knowledge. When the translated poems are presented, some of their lines in the original language are rendered in order to appreciate the translation as well as the beauty of style.
