Summary/Abstract: The author of this article emphasizes the necessity of introduction of test methods for evaluating the quality of professional proficiency of bachelors in Russian philology. On the ground of educational content there can be scientifically approbated and standardized test tasks. Their application instead of traditional examination cards allows to evaluate real knowledge of bachelors in Russian philology, to measure for sure the quality of training of the future graduating students and thereby to increase the effectiveness of the learning process as a whole.
