Summary/Abstract: Late modernity is marked by a series of changes in social paradigms. On a global scale, transitions are becoming a common state of affairs. Throughout their practice, social workers find themselves facing various (and sometimes conflicting) ideologies. This paper presents some of the challenges faced by social workers in an increasingly diversified environment and in a continuously globalizing world.
